To tour the Bureau of Engraving & Printing, they release tickets at 8:30 the day of the tour, on the back side of the building.  No photos allowed on the tour

Washington Monument

 You can reserve tickets for a $1 up to 30 days ahead of time for the Washington Monument.  The day before they release more tickets online for $1.  The day of at 8:45 they release 200 more free tickets first come, first serve.  The line can start forming early.

Museum of the Bible - Washington DC

 We spent 3 hours on the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC.  We certainly could have spent more time if we wanted to read more of the signs & information.  I think next time I would consider the tour to understand the highlights of what we are seeing.

Washington DC Zoo

 My son & I recently flew to DC for the day, mainly for me to see the pandas at the zoo before they are returned to China.  Admission is free but we needed to sign up for passes online.  We didn't spend much time outside of the asian area.  We had limited time in the city so didn't spend a lot of time at the zoo.  They did have an impressive amount of animals.
