Located on the campus of Liberty University, the Chaplains Museum features an extensive collection of objects and artifacts that tell the stories of U.S. military chaplains in the camp, on the battlefield, and among prisoners of war. Visitors will learn how chaplains from diverse backgrounds have used a variety of means and methods to carry out their ministry during times of war.
Court House Hill & Monument Terrace Lynchburg VA
Monument Terrace in Lynchburg - The inspiring rise of Monument Terrace commemorates Lynchburg citizens who fought and died in the Civil War, Spanish-American War, World Wars I and II, Korea, Vietnam and the present day. At the base on Church Street stands the iconic doughboy statue. Many other sculptures and markers line the 139 steps and terraces all the way to the top, where the Lynchburg Museum at the Old Court House stands on Court Street.
Lynchburg Area Waterfalls
Statons Creek Falls - roadside falls in the middle of no where. It took us a little to find it. There was a small parking area. We just viewed from the top. Too steep with wet leaves to try climbing down.
