If you can travel off peak time, there are some good deals to be add for all inclusive resorts. We were able to go in the middle of December & it was a lot cheaper than going closer to the holidays. We stayed at Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas. It was the middle tier of the 3 Riu hotels. We had access to the water park at the Sante Fe but a nicer hotel & restaurants. We couldn't swim in the water right in front of the resort but walked down the beach to a place we could get in safely.
