We had a beautiful day to visit Mount St Helens. We visited the west side via Hwy 504 stopping at the Mount St. Helends Forest Learning Center looking at the exhibits & movie. We packed a lunch & ate at Coldwater Lake & hiked around the lake a little. We continued on to the road-end Johnston Ridge Observatory ($8/person for adults) and see the new exhibits and movie there. Awesome close up views of the volcano. There was a food truck at the Observatory, but I'd recommend packing a lunch. There were not other eating places in the area.
